WhatsApp has begun rolling out its WhatsApp Plus premium subscription to a limited group of iOS users, following its earlier release on Android. The paid tier, offered through the App Store, provides enhanced customization options while maintaining full access to standard messaging and calling features for non-subscribers. The WhatsApp Plus plan includes six main features at launch, with more expected in future updates. Subscribers gain access to premium animated stickers in the WhatsApp Sticker Store, though non-subscribers can still view them when shared. The plan introduces 18 new accent colors—such as Vibrant Blue and Forest Green—to replace the default green theme, along with 14 alternative app icons, including glitter-effect and monochrome designs.

Additional benefits include increasing the pinned chats limit from 3 to 20, applying unified themes and ringtones across chat lists, and choosing from 10 new call ringtones like Flutter and Carnival. The subscription costs vary by region: €2.49 in Europe, PKR 229.00 in Pakistan, and $29.00 in Mexico. A free trial of up to one month may be offered, and subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled 24 hours before billing.
