Ukraine conducted a long-range strike on the Syzran oil refinery in Russia’s Samara Oblast, located more than 800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attack, calling it another 'long-range sanction' on Russia’s energy infrastructure. The refinery processes around 9 million tons of crude annually and supplies fuel to Russian military units, including the Air Force.

In a separate operation, Ukraine’s SBU Alpha unit targeted a Russian FSB headquarters in occupied Kherson Oblast, killing and wounding nearly 100 troops and destroying a Pantsir-S1 air defense system worth up to $20 million. The strike demonstrates Ukraine’s continued ability to conduct high-impact operations behind enemy lines.

Meanwhile, Belarus’s Defense Ministry claimed that nuclear-capable exercises are underway, with footage showing equipment allegedly carrying warheads. This move may violate the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. On the ground in Ukraine, Russian drones struck Dnipro, injuring 15 people and damaging multiple residential buildings. Ukraine is also advancing development of low-cost interceptors to counter Iranian-made Shahed drones, with Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov confirming testing is already underway.
